With Christ’s love influencing our every move, we can say goodbye to the fear-driven habits – including shame-induced gym trips and guilt-ridden salads – and embrace the joy of being healthier to please and honor our Lord and Savior.
This year, if once again we attempt to enhance our own kingdoms with self-serving resolutions, it’s very likely we’ll fail again. God’s children are meant to glorify Him in all things (1 Corinthians 10:31).
I propose we focus on how much of God’s good food we can eat instead of how much of the unhealthy stuff we can get away with – the opposite mindset of most diets. As we shift our sights away from God’s restriction and onto His provision, we’ll begin to enjoy the original freedom Adam and Eve enjoyed in the garden.
This episode is part 3 of the 6 week study on Healthy God, Healthy You, the book I wrote during my 40 pound weight loss journey. Today, we unpack diets. Are they Biblical? Does it matter? We also look into food being a shadow that points to Jesus. Say what? We’ll talk about it – just give it a listen!
